gcb software package provides Utility to calculate long and short path to a location, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gcb
gcb is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gcb package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gcb *
You will get with gcb package name, version, architecture and description in a table
